Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to our school. We are delighted that you are joining our vibrant and faith-filled community, where every child is known, valued, and supported. At the heart of our mission is a Christ-centred, child-focused education grounded in the Catholic tradition. Our strong relationship with our parish enriches the spiritual life of our school and strengthens the values we live each day.

Founded in 1960 by the Sisters of Mercy, our school continues to honour their legacy and the Mercy Charism that shapes our identity. We proudly serve the Parish community of St Lawrence and Mary Immaculate, under the care of the Salvatorian Fathers, and we warmly welcome families from Balcatta, Gwelup, Stirling and beyond who seek a rich Catholic education grounded in Gospel values.

We believe every child is a precious gift from God, created in His image and blessed with unique gifts and talents. It is a privilege to support each child as they grow, learn and discover who they are. Our pillars of Joy, Courage and Unity guide everything we do and shape the warm, welcoming culture of our school. We value kindness, diversity and strong relationships. We recognise parents as the first educators of their children and work in genuine partnership with families, built on trust, communication and shared values.

The primary school years are filled with joy and discovery, and we take our role in laying strong foundations for each child’s future learning and wellbeing seriously. Our teaching and learning programs nurture the whole child, helping each student reach their God given potential in an ever-changing world.

As Principal, I warmly invite you to come and experience our wonderful community. I look forward to walking with you and sharing in the hopes and aspirations you hold for your child at St Lawrence Primary School.
